"Do you have a girlfriend?" I blurted out before I could even think about what i was saying, "I'm sor-"
"It's fine, and no I don't. Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Nope."
"Well good."
"Good?"
"Yup."
"Why?"
"Cause I can do this and not feel guilty." he leaned over and kissed me.

One night changed her life and now it'll never go back to the way it was. Cara Bernard is reserved and shy, she can't be outgoing and crazy and get drunk every night because: Cara is a senior in high school but her life's not exactly typical, she's still bopping around the foster system and living in fear that she'll have to leave her best friend and life behind the summer before senior year. But when she meets Dylan will she finally live and let loose? And will Dylan's past ever be uncovered? Will her and Dylan even last or will Cara meet someone else that she just can't deny her true feelings for? Cara is holding on and going for the ride of a lifetime while boys flip flop, and life takes some major loops.
