Lelouch and Nunnally were both sent to Japan. As they were still young they didn't understand much. Lelouch was only 10 years old but he hated Britannia. Nunnally was 7 years old and she was blinded and crippled from the incident that happened when their mother died. Lelouch ends up going to school and making some friends Rivalz, Shirley, and Suzaku. When Lelouch turns 14 he gets kidnapped by the Holy Britannian Empire and is forced to become Prince, as Charles used his geass to make his son forget about 3 things, His friends from Ashford, Nunnally,and being sent to Japan as a political tool. Once he turns 17 his father's geass finally broke and Lelouch remembers everything. Now he wants to get his revenge, and find his sister.

Her mother was always stressed between being a single mom and dealing with her sister. So the girl used her studies and books as an escape method from the real world.
