Colette Florentine is cursed. "On the eighth hour of her seventeenth year, the girl of chaos will fall by the hands of a golden warrior." She was the daughter of a king and a maid. The heir to the throne of one of the strongest kingdoms in the world. The prodigy in the making. She was ten.
After the curse, Colette's people turn on her. She is seen as a pox on the kingdom. Her throne is taken back, and her future is erased. She is sent to a starving village to be trained by a crippled drunk. Six years later, Colette is able to lie, steal, and kill along with the most ruthless spies. A conspiracy is unraveling, and no one can be trusted.

Two twin sisters drifted apart because of misunderstandings and screaming by there on family no less. Zan Cui the one with a dragon fate was seen as bad luck because she is a girl.
