First.
She hoped it never happened. All the horrors and the pain of watching her loved ones perished under the flames of wrath. All the vile and twisted evil that had cursed upon her. She wished she could turn back time. Back to her childhood dreams. Back to her never ending memories of the smiles and hugs.
Blood.
He hoped he could forget. All the killing and the slaughtering of the people who once he called family. All the words that she breathed out as the flames began to rise. He wished it was never happened. The memories that he could not erase from his head. The tip of his sword that was always trying to rip apart her soul.
Rise.
She knew that she was destined to become the one, the soul which the goddess would reach. An answer to the prayers of her people, hoping that the light would soon be walking among them. But for that light to emerge, she would have to cast out her shadows. A soul for a soul, a throne for a throne.
And only time will tell whose blood will be spilled first.
