Ghoulish Gold's life is running. He doesn't do anything but run everyday and try and place first in races he competes in.

He doesn't have to get a job. He doesn't desire a love life or social companionship. He doesn't want any of the things regular people want.

This is because Ghoulish Gold is not real. He's an imaginary friend of Daniel Groves.

And as for Daniel, who in the real world knows what is going on inside his crazy mind other than Ghoulish Gold?
