Grace and Teddy are extreme nerds, anyone could tell just by looking at them. They both have several things in common: they are competitive, they are freakishly intelligent, they are socially awkward, and they want to catch the attention of the 'populars' of the school. After all, that's what always happens? The nerd ALWAYS ends up with the hottest guy/girl at the school. Right? It's happened in every book they've read, so it's bound to happen to them, right?
