Meet Abner Cooperman. Your ordinary, everyday guy. You know, the ones that may wear the same pair of sweatpants for a week straight. Or the one that drinks milk straight from the jug. The ones who aren't ruggedly handsome, who couldn't ever be mistaken for that one guy on the Calvin Klein billboard or even in a Macy's ad, but you'd still make out with if you were sad enough just because his eyes are the prettiest brown. You know, the Jason Bateman type, as June Adler would categorize. Meet June Adler. Your not-so-ordinary, everyday girl. She's the type that takes the last minute flight to Bora Bora solely because she has to get away from the weather, not that she has that kind of money -- the type that rarely says she's sorry and can't stand slow-talkers. The girl you'd see Calvin Klein models chasing after. The kind that wouldn't give a Jason Bateman look-a-like a chance. The type that decides to run off to the one place that supplies that kind of excitement, New York City. These two do not match up at all, but when June's best friend decides to bail out of moving to New York at the last moment, June still needs a roommate for the apartment she just started renting a week ago. So, one night when she enters the nearby 7-11 to find Abner working the register, June ends up telling Abner her sad, sob story. Soon enough, Abner is offering to be a substitute roommate and June is so desperate she accepts. Little does June know Abner isn't just a Jason Bateman. He's a Richard Gere in the making, and she can't just push him around whenever she feels like it. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Cover made by Seoulrecords.

"What's your name?" He tries again. Should I tell him so he can shut up? Or will he just keep talking. "Fine. Don't tell me. But personally I think we are going to be great friends. Maybe I should tell you a bit about myself so you can trust me. Stranger danger and all that. That's why you're not talking to me right?" I don't respond. "So here it goes. My name is Alexander Daniel Woods. I have amazing black hair and piercing green eyes as told to me by various ladies. My major is in marketing. My blood type is O positive, my social security number is 45-" "Oh my god, do you ever shut up?" I finally break. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Sometimes when you least expect it, you find the one person you never knew you needed. Even if they annoy you at first. When senior college student Amelia gets paired with Alex for an English assignment, she thinks she'll never survive class with his overly cocky attitude. Little do they know, both will be leaning on each other when their respective pasts come back to haunt them. ______________________________________ Notes: Completed *Highest rank : #8 in Chicklit *Featured on on Chicklits "What's hot" list *Cover made by @Silver-masked-devil
