So after reading an endless amount of fanfictions where Tris comes back to life, I decided to write one where she doesn't. Not that we all don't want her to come back to life, but I wanted to write something different.

After Tris' death, Tobias decides to return to all the places him and Tris hold special memories in an attempt to fill the emptiness she left behind. Each place he visits takes him one step closer to closure as he remembers everything him and Tris shared before he allows himself to be left with nothing but a loving memory.

Tobias remains in Dauntless, but while he isn't exactly despondent, he does feel out of place. He doesn't fit in and cannot go on with normal life after everything that happened. Then, Choosing Day arrives. And history definitely does not repeat itself when Tris goes through the initiation process with her old friends and enemies, her ex-boyfriend, and the new sixteen-year-olds, while citizens of Chicago are mysteriously dying.
