This is a story I wrote in class as a memoir. I was really proud of it so I wanted to show it to you guys/ gals. In case you are wondering, it is about me moving from Colorado to Arizona.

This is the second book in the Hitman series, it can be read as a standalone but you'll understand characters a bit better if you read 'Falling for a Hitman' first. Runaway
I've been on the run for three years. I'm not the first, but I certainly won't be the last. For as long as I can remember, I had been experimented on, drugged to the brink of insanity, and tortured by someone I thought was my family. Boy, was I wrong. This isn't one of those stories where I suddenly get a huge boost of courage and defeat the bad guys then live happily ever after. I don't believe in that stuff anymore. Instead, I was a coward, and ran for my life, for my freedom, because I was too afraid to stand and fight and risk losing control like the monster they had created me to be. I've been too many people, have moved too many times. Now, I wonder if I will finally be able to find a place to call home... I won't allow myself to be captured before I even have a chance at that. Mother Knows Best
You know how you trauma-dump on your friends and they say, "Omg, that's insane, you should write a book about it!" Well, more people have made that remark to my mother as she exaggerates all her stories, so I took the liberty of taking that advice for myself. I am a writer, after all, and I tend to write out my feelings and trauma to work through it on my own, just to delete it later. But why not make some of those memories that haunt me so much into story form? It's definitely more entertaining. So, you'll find my entire life story, or at least what I remember, here in this book on Wattpad. Each chapter is a real event that occurred in my life, mostly involving my emotionally abusive mother, nearly absent and aggressive father, my runaway older sister, and even a little boy we fostered for a moment. If you're interested or possibly are going through something similar, please read and know that there is hope. I made it out and I am on my healing journey, it is possible.
I Fell in Love with a Bad Boy
CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. Just A Thought
Something tragic has happened. A 17 year old Valeri has to move to her dad's place. She spent all her life thinking he was dead. Her now dead mother told her that. We're All Going To Die
In 2015, I quit my digital marketing job at Nike to take a solo road trip around the country, funded by driving for Lyft in each of the cities I stopped in. In the beginning, I thought that driving for Lyft was simply the key to supporting the trip financially. However, I soon found that the dynamic of having strangers jump into my car to talk about life for 20 minutes or so, under the context that we would probably never speak again, was the most powerful piece of my year off. I was so inspired by my passengers that I wrote a book about them, called We're All Going to Die: Lessons Learned From My Year Road Tripping As a Lyft Driver. My passengers became my biggest teachers in what, lo and behold, turned out to be a year of personal growth and self-discovery. I learned the value of more listening and less ego. I saw how hungry people are for real human connection and conversation in a world more digitally connected and emotionally isolated than ever. I took the time to face my own issues, including my father's suicide five years earlier. I began to understand how important it is to be human - to feel your emotions, to share those feelings with others, and to find lightness and humor in the hard stuff. What became most obvious to me was that at end of the day, we're all going to die anyway. This book is a story about my personal growth, supported by the stories of the many people who trusted me enough to jump into my car and open up their hearts to me.Terminé
