Survival In a World of Ruin
17 parts Ongoing MatureThe World of Altera
The planet Altera stands as a beacon of technological brilliance-an advanced world of towering cities, floating metropolises, and machines capable of wonders once thought impossible. Yet despite all its progress, humanity remained bound to its homeworld, unable to pierce the veil of the stars.
Altera was divided into many nations, each distinct in culture, tradition, language, and ideology. Some were ruled by councils of logic and science, others by monarchs, military regimes, or theocratic orders. From the sleek cybernetic designs of the northern federations to the ornate crystal spires of the desert kingdoms, every corner of Altera pulsed with life, invention, and diversity.
But on October 6th, 3012, everything changed.
It began in the western nations-an isolated case at first: a single human corpse that refused to stay dead. Within hours, more followed. The infection spread with terrifying speed, crossing borders and oceans alike. In less than thirteen hours, civilization began to crumble. The world plunged into chaos as the Age of the Apocalypse dawned.
The undead evolved rapidly. Some grew monstrous forms-mutated horrors of flesh and bone. Others developed abilities beyond comprehension-flames that danced in their hands, lightning crackling from their veins, shadows bending to their will.
And then came the crystals.
Each zombie carried within its skull a crystallized gem, radiant with unknown energy. When harvested, these gems were found to grant power-sometimes strength, sometimes speed, and on the rarest occasions, supernatural abilities. Yet the gift was fickle; only one in a thousand could truly awaken such power.
We follow a girl name Diana her story of strength and survival in the now ruin world of Altera
