After an explosion at a medical lab downtown a group of teenagers set out to find missing loved ones. While heading to the hospital they run into a girl, who's being chased by two men who seem to be desperate to take a bite out of her. While saving her they notice one of the men is missing part of his face. Will they be able to make it to safety, or will they become one of the dead. Throw on top of it that one of them seems to be getting visions of the future and they learn a startling piece of information about how the dead have come back to life.

Evelyn Archer and her brother Evan always did the best they could for themselves. Although everyone is curious to know what exactly happened to the grown-ups, it is hard enough to stay alive, let alone go digging for non-existent information.
