Under her stepmother's thumb, Princess Amelie feels the burden of her many faults: her lack of self-discipline, her naivete and wimpiness brought on by 15 years of a sheltered life, her wanting looks and plump body that dictate her unlikely to make a good marriage and doom any chance of her having a successful future without one. Many times, she turns to her brothers, who are her best friends and only comfort.
Then one day everything changes: her brothers are in trouble and she is the only one who can save them. She embarks on a seemingly impossible task, accompanied by a clever-tongued thief, a resourceful maid, and an unexpectedly talented drunkard; but although her friends can provide help and support, it is up to Amie to save her family and her kingdom before it is too late.
Based on the fairy tale "The Six Swans." Following the same basic plotline as my first draft, but with changes in character development and plot details and a slight change in style.

The neighbors knew what he was doing, but didn't have the proof to bring it to the police. Saya heard of a tiquando class nearby, and wanted to learn to protect herself, so she snuck in every day and practiced from a safe distance. One day, two kids found her and they later became friends, their names were Lin and Jaune. When Saya was eleven, her uncle was murdered, and the police arrested her, since she was the only one living there. Later, Lin and Jaune were arrested trying to break her out. They've been there ever since. Hey guys! So I know this is a long description, but that is just a little background information on the main character in this book. What neither Amelia nor Ezra knew, was that that name would connect them in a way neither would've ever imagined. She finds someone so broken under that cold exterior that she can't help but want to help him. They get thrown into a world of witches, wizards and magic and evil. They set off on a journey to become some of the most powerful witch and wizard to ever live, in order to defeat a great evil. Along the way, they recruit five other individuals each experienced in a different area of magic. Who will love and who will hate?
