My first mistake had been re-noticing people in my classes, if I hadn't done that; I wouldn't have re-noticed Tristan Everdeen. I should have known that the moment I had become entranced in those eyes of his-silver, deep, contemplative-that things never would be the same. But of course, I didn't. Because since when does life let you off the hook and just allow you to know those kind of things? *NOTE: This story was written when I was much younger and doesn't reflect my current views on healthy relationships. There are also errors that should be fixed with an edit run-through but I don't currently have the time to do what would basically be a complete rewrite of the book. Panem High School {COMPLETED}
Yes, this is so original, isn't it? But, I think mine might be a bit different. Well, as I've been writing my other fanfics (and going to high school myself) I've been thinking of great scenarios that won't work, because the stories aren't present time. So, I decided to be unoriginal for once and write this. Panem High School is a prestigious private school in the Capitol of the country of Panem. It's where all the best, brightest, and richest citizens send their children to school. None of them are as one dimensional as they seem on the surface. This story is written from multiple POVs (at the moment, Katniss, Peeta, Johanna, Cato, Clove, Gale, and Madge), so that's different from all the other "Hunger Games High" stories I've read. There is Clato (just wait for it, it isn't instantly), Gadge, and other ships, so hooray for all of you shippers! We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination. When an incident leaves her in tears, making a dangerous wish that Zack knew what it was like to be her for once, that he'd take a walk in her shoes. Of course she didn't mean it literally but you know what they say : BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR.
