~"What're you doing?" I quickly slammed my laptop's lid down.
"Nothing.." I drawled out, trying to sound as inconspicuous as I could.
"That was definitely... something.." he smirked and took a few steps further into my room.
The shit-eating grin on his face was proof that, now that he'd caught me in a... rather compromising position, he was up to no good.
"I was..um.." I tried to think of a valid excuse for my suspicious behaviour.
"Yeah..?" he said, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. He was standing right beside me now.
I tried to breathe.

"I was...um... watching porn..." I let out.
He looked at my tormented but serious face and then let out a hearty laugh.
I chuckled nervously along with him.
All of a sudden, he was in my face.

"What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. I took a deep breath and confessed, "I never wanted you to fall in love with me." I say. He looked at me in shock, his grip on my shoulder loosening. "Why would you say that? Why would you think that would be easier for me?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion and hurt. I closed my eyes, unable to meet his gaze as I replied, "Because I don't deserve your love. I'm not who you think I am." He sat there in silence, processing my words. His friend said, wheezing a little bit and trying to stop laughing. I calmed down a bit, standing up to face them, a smile on my face. "Now, if you're done threatening me," I raise an eyebrow.
