Welcome to Caliatha, the only place on Earth that contains breathable air after World War 4.

In 2304, scientists found a way to inject technological DNA into your bloodstream. It would then transfer you to Caliatha where you would become your own avatar, changing anything about your status before entering.

Finally, Joelle Adams turns 16, and is able to get tested for entry into Caliatha. You see, in order to get in, you must have amazing scores on your gaming record that was taken throughout the torturous school years. She has been dreaming of the time she would finally be able to go into the actual game world.

What she doesn't realize, is that once you go to Caliatha, there's no going back. The saying, "all fun and games till someone gets hurt" doesn't apply to the virtual land. When you run out of lives you become invisible, non-existent, to Caliatha, to the world. No one can see, hear, or feel you. Loneliness and depression cause the "Losers" to commit suicide after Game Over.

When Joelle enters Caliatha, all of this is revealed to her, but yet, she discovers she has a talent that no other has ever known of, in Caliatha.
