This is a short poem I wrote about the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens, some of my favorite singers. :( It was february 3, 1959. All the events in this poem are true and accurate.

"I hate you - so much Tripp." More confusion because, once more, wasn't this a good thing? "Why did you have to say that? What if," A little quieter, just above a whisper. "What if we mess up our friendship?" "But what if we don't?" "You don't know that," I bumped his nose with my finger. "And neither do you. So, why don't we give it a shot?" He bit down on his bottom lip, hesitation and worry filling his gaze. __ This is literally a story that follows the plot of two best friends realizing their feelings for each other, yes, I know, very cliche, but I enjoyed writing it. Elijah Rosen, an introverted seventeen year old with a love for football, sneaks out almost every night to get away from the problems he faces during the day. He feels like his anxiety is taking over his life, and the only place he can go to escape it is the pitch black night right outside his window where he can be alone and let his thoughts run wild. But after he finds Adam Chang sitting at the bottom of an empty pool in the early hours of the morning with puffy red eyes and bruised hands, he begins to find comfort in something other than the dark. Only, Adam has a few problems of his own. And with pressure coming from his family, his friends, his school, and his own mind, Elijah isn't sure how he'll make it through the year. ------- "I think if you weren't here, I wouldn't be okay. Hello! This is a story I wrote a few years ago when I was 11/12. It is not the best written at the start but I didn't want to edit it (it gets better as my writing improves). It involves a school trip where the plane crashes, killing the pilot and landing them on a tropical island. Neil was caught between a hard place and a rock. His lungs heaved as he desperately tried to suck in air, but to no avail. He couldn't breath. Tears ran down his face as he smothered his strangled sobs against his pillow. He didn't know how long he could keep up this act. All he wanted was Todd. Todd couldn't sleep. He hadn't been able to for the past few nights. All he could think about was Neil. His lips as they closed over a cigarette. His brown eyes sparkling as he practiced his lines as Puck. His wet hair and how it clung to his neck after a shower. Todd squeezed his eyes tight as he tried to will away the wicked images. He shouldn't be staring at his best friend like that. It was unnatural. It meant he was a fairy. Yet Todd couldn't help but stare. A story of two boys coming together, overcoming some of life's obstacles, and falling in love with each other; until one is tragically taken away.Complete
