"I can't wait!" A purple box sat in front of me. I was turning 8 this year, and I'm opening my last present. I got clothes, and a silver locket from my mom. I love it! my small hands wrap around the box, tearing all the beautifully rapped paper to shreds. I open the cardboard box to see a rabbit mask at the bottom. My eyes shine as I bring my fingers to graze the soft material.

"We knew who much you loved animals, so we thought you might like it" my father stated, with a questionable tone. I turn to look at them, my eyes sparkling with amazement, and they both gave warm smiles. I put on the mask ever-so-gently as if it might break. As I put it on my world becomes dark.All Rights Reserved
