"This is the end isn't it?" Amara asked hesitantly, her hair whipping her face harshly in the cold winds.

"No, Mon Cheri this is just the Beginning" Her companion replied, his suave accented words reached her ears making her look down on the city they stood on, lights flicked on and off from buildings as people wished each other goodnight, possibly for the last time as...

The War has begun....

Follow Amara through her story, her life, her falls and rises....will you be there for her when she needs you the most? or will you just leave and never return?

it's your choice, your decision...all you have to do is.

Open the doors.

Lady Dawn expected to die. After casting her soul to the wind, taking a one-in-a-million chance to escape the wretched dungeons of Taegrin Caelum, the once-caged songbird of the Asclepius wishes nothing more than to find her Hearth and warn them of the coming danger. Instead, she's found herself a shade, anchored to a young man who knows far too much-and with far less hope than she'd started with. Toren Daen, for his part, only wanted to make it home safely. Now he's in a world taken straight from the page, questioning what is real and what is fiction, and scrambling to make something worthwhile. And with his foresight, there's only one way that Toren can see to keep this new world safe: prevent the descent of the Legacy. But those in power will not make it easy: Nico Sever is in a league of power all on his own, and Arthur Leywin bears the burden of Fate a continent away. In this familiar-yet-not world of mana, monsters, and looming deities, any misstep along the roads of Alacrya and the High Sovereign's Dominion could lead to a Fate worse than death. But what is death to a phoenix? With a burning secret in his mana core, knowledge of the future, and a maelstrom of fears and questions, Toren might just survive to be more than what Lady Dawn expected him to be. He might just survive to waylay the encroaching tide of death in the proxy war between raging asura clans. More than all of that, he might just live. (Semi-SI into Alacrya, character-focused story. Part 1 Complete.) (Part 1/3 of Discordant Note) (Part 2: Discordant Note: Crescendo | TBATE) (Part 3: Discordant Note: Requiem | TBATE) (Cover art commissioned by @_aphora_)

Sometimes you're better of not being left in the dark, because what you don't know... could hurt you. ★ EVERYTHING WAS A LIE. She'd been an expert at getting people to feel for her. I was so embarrassed to be her son sometimes. "You're ridiculous Cathy..." I said my voice full of defeat. She was smirking, looking away from me but I could see she wasn't concentrating. Sighing and feeling furious I picked up my keys from the flower pot where I'd put it and stormed of to my car. "Yeah go you stupid boy! You were always useless anyway!" I heard her scream before I drove off. It was comments like this that hurt but I kept it to myself, I didn't know who to tell if I decided to anyway. The story of my life.★ ★"Have you reached a verdict?" "We have your honour." The jury foreman responds. This is it. This is the moment that, as cliché as it sounds, we have all been waiting for. Everything had to be okay after this. It had to...★ Don't bother questioning about how much you know , it's what you don't know that's important. Strands of your mind cling together like web to a slippery leaf bathed in the morning dew. You have seen both heaven and hell, witnessed the atrocities of war firsthand, and imagined a better life in the deepest, most intimate corners of your dreaming spirit. The wishes for peace and certainty you have once so desperately longed for, now lay trampled underneath the might of your mind's vivid horrors. What was once so bright and lively, now cowers in fear, clinging to gone memories like a shipwreck survivor to some lowly piece of driftwood. From the depths of hell, you arrived victorious, grasping the laurel wreath high above your head. Unrecognizable, with your empty eyes telling a story of innocence brutally taken away from the child curling in shame in the depths of your empty soul. Almost green you are, curly head, having grown up with a rifle by your bedside table, never knowing peace and quiet. Out of the pan that was the Kazdel Civil War and into the scorching flames of Lungmen, where life flows by on its own accord, here, you must learn to live once more. So put on your best facade, Let the reuniting trumpets ring a wild, And allow the city to swallow you whole. Here we are, a continuation of my previous work "Goodbye Curly Head", which sprawled into quite the epistle (but it wasn't really a letter, it's just long :P). Summarized in the most basic way possible, it's a story about a twenty-year-old Kazdel Civil War veteran who goes to Lungmen and has some troubles acclimating to the steady life presented before him. Sprinkle in a too-good-to-be-true offer and a freshly established logistics company, and you get Andy trying to make it big for as long as his deteriorating mental state lets him. I'd say it works as a standalone story for anyone who doesn't want to bother reading the first part. For now, at least. As always, please, pwwease leave a comment, positive, negative, I LOOOVE reading and replying to comments!!

And when the truth surfaces, will Amara be able to accept her fate? But the D'Alessandro sons aren't so easily won over. "Stop this marriage," Zorno demands, his fists clenched.Andrea stands firm beside him, silent but supportive. Angelo leans back, a wicked grin on his face. "Chill, Amara. Life with us is going to be 'HELL' , but you'll survive... maybe." Zefrico, quiet as ever, simply mutters, "Don't worry too much. They are being assholes as always" Caught in the dangerous web of family feuds and secrets, Amara also finds herself drawn to Ruzlan Marchetti-a man she knows she shouldn't fall for. From the moment she laid eyes on him, Amara was captivated by his silent strength, his piercing gaze, the way his muscles rippled under his shirt. But Ruzlan wasn't like anyone she'd ever met. "Stay away from me," he warned, though his eyes lingered on her. "I can handle it," she whispered, stepping closer. But Ruzlan was terrified of falling. "I'll only get you hurt." "What do you want?" My voice was cold, my gun already pressing against her abdomen. "You." The word came out soft, a mere brush of her lips against my neck. She smiled, unfazed, leaning in closer, her hands are at my chin, a pistol in her grip, the barrel pointing squarely at me. A tale of hidden identities, ruthless power, and the fine line between love and destruction. Will Amara survive the truth that's about to consume her?
