A strange form of rabies breaks out in the underbelly of Junction City, causing death within hours of infection. As police scramble to calm the masses, a greater danger emerges unseen.

Enter: Iris Witt, a man extraordinarily skilled at mooching off society. Focused on the here and now, he lives in a fleeting world of self-indulgence. But when he wakes in a hospital after an attack and possible rabies infection, he starts experiencing hallucinations of a past he's long forgotten.

Now to prevent a deadlier citywide epidemic, Iris must confront the shadows of his past. Only then can he understand the pain of a madman who exists solely because of him.
