If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room. It's about a small group of kids classified as "Starbearers" and they have that identity, because they all have a star mark on a random part of the body. There is a group called "Starhunters" looking for kids all over the USA with it, because the star mark means they have a secret superpower that they have to discover on their own. If they are found, then they are captured and taken to a place where they suffer until they die. Daisy is ten (she gradually gets older) and from Lexington, Kentucky. She lives with her little brother, Aiden Smart, and her parents. Her parents favor Aiden more and ignore their daughter's mental health needs. One day, Daisy is not able to control her actions, leading to her family's deaths. She runs away and meets a seven year old named Maya, who was abandoned as a baby due to her mark. Maya is very mature for her age and helps Daisy. Maya tells her about the star mark and Daisy discovers it on her back. Maya tells her everything about the Starhunters and Starbearers, making Daisy very angry and upset. Daisy promises Maya that she will change this fucked up world, but will she? (I want to make a sequel for this, but idk what to write about in that yet. That's where everyone in my childhood friend group will be in. In this one, there's only half of them.)
