"... Stops Making Sense" is a series of poetic, absurd and surrealist allegories. Each vignette is a puzzle piece which must be solved, or resolved, by Michael Valentine - a battered and worn young nobody, who has become unstuck in time, and who has fallen between the cracks of society. With a storm threatening to destroy Manhattan, it is up to this shambleton to save the sinking ship. Before that, though, he must deal with the insignificant matter of discovering the meaning of life.
An eclectic and bizarre read, "...Stops Making Sense", is obscure, frustratingly convoluted and magically, acid dripped in meta musings of a character who may or may not be what he seems.

My Only Mistake
"I brought you here because I wanted to ask you something really important." He said and I smirked, knowing what he was going to ask me. "What is it?" He sighed and ran his hand through his hair again. "After last night, which was amazing, it got me thinking. What exactly are we?" The question that has been running through my mind ever since last night too. He sighed and held my hands in his,"Maddison, I like you, a lot. And I mean a lot. You're the most prettiest woman I've ever seen in my life, seriously. Both inside and outside. I want you, and only you. Soon, Connor tries a lot of different things he hasn't tried and comes out excellent in all of them, but he makes enemies on the way. Their friend group expands and now there is 4 bestfriends in the group, but Connor only has feelings for 1. Will he mess up? But what will happen when his past starts following him everywhere he goes? What will happen when old feelings arise with just a glance at a dinner table? What Lasts in Us
**COMPLETED** Several years after the world succumbed to a deadly strain of measles that turned those infected into crazed, mindless cannibals, Charlotte wanders the backroads alone, content with surviving day-to-day. That's until she crosses paths with Nate and his daughter, Emmi. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who reminds her of her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad were to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it's no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. But with the clock ticking, Charlotte's new-found family may just end up like her own, dead and destroyed, if Emmi is exposed to the disease that her father tried so hard to protect her from.Complete
Caleb
Caleb is definitely a troubled child. Alone, with nothing going for him, he attempts to take his own life but fails at his first attempt. He desperately wants to try again but is put under constant supervision, especially by his new doctor, Dr Palmer. Dr Palmer becomes more and more involved in Caleb’s life, trying to help him see that his life is worth living through various methods. Eventually, the two build up a trusting and understanding relationship and Dr Palmer allows Caleb to do things that his parents would have never have let him do so soon after something so tragic. Caleb gets his life back on track, enrolling at college and even meeting a girl whom he used to know as a child. The two of them begin to date each other, and everything seems great for a while. That is, until Caleb remembers the reason that he tried to commit suicide in the first place, revealing a secret that shatters his new found confidence. As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured. He starts back at college full time, and becomes ever closer with Stephanie, the only person whom he feels that he can trust. When his own father attacks his mother, Caleb begins to think that the police are on to him, trying to unravel his past, thinking that they have realised what happened to cause him to try to commit suicide. However, they are just trying to build a case against his father. In desperation, Caleb tried to reach out to Dr Palmer, against the advice of his mother. As his life spirals out of control, Dr Palmer makes him realise that the only way he can carry on is to come clean and reveal his secret. In a shocking final twist, everything is revealed to be not what it seems, and Caleb finds out that he will be ok, no matter what happens to him.Complete

An unnamed young soldier has grown cold and unfeeling after being entrenched in war for over two years. Now at last they are at the end of their tour, ready to move on. Their experience on the battlefield as led them to develop a deep hatred for war and the ones who promote it, trying to fight against the mechanisms in which they unwittingly signed up for. Full of resentment, they struggle to find much of anything to look forward to except the promise of a return back to friends and family. A fatal mistake that explores the dangers of hope, love, and human connection as this unnamed soldier continuously tries and fails to find their place. Constantly deteriorating as the shroud of alienation grows heavier and heavier around them, at last reaching a breaking point in the form of a failed suicide attempt. A persistent push and pull always seems to occur. This soldier cannot find the means to accept who they are in the face of an indifferent and callous world. A Centimeter Across the Earth is a story about war, the war that rages on inside us all. For there are some wounds that reach far too deep.Complete

each part will take us through a new world, we will traverse multiple genres and plots in this short story anthology book. There will be mystery and intrigue as each of these tales is told to the reader. No.1 - a walk on the wrong street : we are lost in the world if not for sanity, out of control some might say, and those with no "control" those are dangerous folk, people who shouldn't be permitted to walk amongst us, yet they do, how do they function in this world balanced by sanity? You may ask, the answer is simple, hunt. No.2 - The Motor Way : two men dragged into a fight for survival in a seemingly alive wood, that sends demonic creatures after them, to hunt and kill them as they try to find there way back. No.3 - The interrogation : when a small group of friends is dragged into a police station for a crime none of them admit to its all a matter of time before the truth like most things is revealed. No.4 - the feather : a short righting of a person dealing with the moral dilemma of mercy killing an injured bird. No.5 - Traffic : the story of a lawful man in a lawless place. A desperate sheriff turns to crime in order to support his ailing son, and his troubled wife all the while he comes to terms with his own inability to addiquatly hold up the law he dedicated his life to. No.6 - Ology : a zoo keeper has dark secrets, as do we all. But when his secrets strole into the public affairs for how much longer can he cover up his outlandish experimentation. No.7 - Backgammon : a 1950s detective finds himself entangled in a web of crimes, or crimes thwarted by a vigilante, now with all eyes on him he has to think, is this outlaw better or worse for the dangerous streets, or is he even more use than the officers he work with. No.8 - Moth : a lighthouse worker beguins expireancing strange things, is this due to his isolation or is something afoot, something evil... something dangerous.
