Merlin coughed, his throat suddenly scratchier than the ancient scarf that was wrapped around his neck. He wasn't sure what he was seeing. He wasn't sure what he was feeling. He couldn't even be sure that he was breathing; that he was awake, alert, experiencing this in reality. It had been over a thousand years...
But there was Arthur.
In front of him.
Alive.

I'm getting closer. My heart is racing. I feel warm. My eyes drops to his lips. I need to kiss him. I feel my stomach upside down. He's coming closer too. We're two inches distant. Slowly I place my lips on his. They're really soft and warm. We kiss. It's a gentle kiss. Our lips are synchronized. I grab his face with my hands, bringing him nearer. "So, what prince do you fancy?" "Where are you getting these ridiculous accusations? I only fancy this prat, his name is Merlin." "Oh, really?" "Really." "I fancy you too, Arthur." Merlin laid his head against Arthur's chest, listening to the slow breathing, and feeling Arthur run his fingers through his hair. *This story was for fun only, I was bored and wanted to write something. Falling for You
Merthur AU (angel!Merlin and human!Arthur). Merlin is a young angel and doesn't understand many things. When he discovers a pond in heaven through which he can see Earth though, everything changes. For the first time, he sees a human - Arthur Pendragon. And from that moment he knows that he wants to protect him. When Arthur is in danger, Merlin accidentally ends up on Earth while trying to help him. Now he must stay in Camelot and befriend Arthur until other angels find him and bring him home. Their growing love is forbidden though. What can Merlin do now? Leave and never talk to Arthur again or stay and die? This was my first Merthur AU, written in August 2017. The story is set in season 1 during 1x04 The Poisoned Chalice. Merlin speaks Latin a bit (but I have like zero experience with that language so I used an online translator). The translation will be at the end of the chapter.Kumpleto
