Music prodigy Josie Mas is living every musicians dream, going to a classy music school in New York, New York. She's eighteen and has a YouTube following that adores her. What people don't realize when they see little-ms-perfect is that she has scars, a lot. And she gave herself every last one, but no one bothers looking past the cover she puts on outside. Right?

Street fighter Chance, who everyone knows as "Fighting Chance" fights for his life. Literally. All his bragging and boasting are ways of making more money, which he needs since he has no family left. When he fights he analyzes people until he knows them better than they know themselves. That way he doesn't have to deal with his own problems. Just destroying them, in the ring and out.

Then he runs into Jos, the girl who's friend, May,  decides she wants to learn to fight for herself, and makes Josie come along. It's his job to teach her, and figure out what she's hiding behind her sarcastic remarks and annoying jokes.
