"Please. Don't leave." I begged.
"I can't stay! I don't want to stay! I can't even trust you anymore, Niall!" She shouted as her eyes became watery.
"It wasn't real! I would never do that to you! I lov-" I choked on my words and it became hard to speak.
"You think I'm going to believe your bullsh*t after what I saw?!" She paused and looked at her feet as a tear rolled down her cheek. "What I saw was real..." She whispered.
She quickly turned around and started to rush away, her heels clicking on the cold cement.
I heard her soft whimpers and my heart broke.
"Why do you always do this?" I asked in my regular tone of voice.
She stopped in her tracks.
"Why do you always push people away you care for you...who love you?"
She sniffed and turned around, but her gaze was locked on her feet.
"You want to believe me. You want to trust me. You're just too afraid to let someone." I spoke truthfully.
"If you were me, you'd understand..." She whispered.
I looked out into the dark, empty street. The light from inside the restaurant lit up her sad face.
"I wish you would let me..." I said sincerely as a tear ran down my face.
She turned around again and started to sob lightly.
I sighed. We both stood there for awhile, me still facing her back.
After about 2 minutes I spoke up,
"My flight leaves at 5:30 tomorrow night...."
And with that I turned around and walked away, back into the restaurant. 'All Rights Reserved
