A year after the war with Gaea, Leo isn't doing good.
He can't help the pain that seems relentless ever since Calypso left.
Humor was always his way to hide pain.

Her parents were murdered right in front of her, and every night she changes into a monster.
Everyone who gets close to her, she seems to kill, and because of this she is avoided.
No one to turn to, nowhere to go, she's abandoned in a place that should be home.
Then she meets him.
Leo, the sarcastic son of Hephaestus.
His humor doesn't fool her, and she sees the underlying pain.
The two are beautifully broken, and just what the other needs. 
Neither believe in happy endings, they know that a happy ending doesn't exist outside of fairytales.
This is the real world.
And the real world hurts.
