The story of a guy with extraordinary abilities and extraordinary problems. He meets friends, enemies, and loses a bit of each. I enjoy writing and drawing comic books and making my own heroes and villains and I wanted to see how turning my favorite hero into a book would turn out. Feel free to give feedback, it always helps.

Jack Carter is your semi-average guy. Sixteen, 5' 11, charcoal black hair, and a slight muscle build. The rich popular kid that everyone adores. Until his life takes a turn for the better and worse. Sure, the move was bad. A whole new city across the country. The Big freakin' Apple. Then there was the fact that he had to leave all his friends and make new ones. Double bummer. But juggling his new abilities and super villains? Now there's the ride of a lifetime.

In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress

She killed the man who murdered her parents, but that just isn't good enough. No one with that much power can be trusted to use it wisely. The man who killed her parents was a Super, and more of them were appearing every day. They wielded god-like powers, but who could stop them when it goes to their heads? The People's Hand was the perfect group for Carter to join. Assassins dedicated to stopping Supers before more lives were lost. Now Carter has gotten a mission completely foreign to her skillset. How is she supposed to masquerade as a Super? How is she supposed to mingle with the same people she's devoted her life to destroying? What if she's been wrong?
