Everyone says that your life begins when you enter high school, that's not true— well, for me anyways. My life ended when I entered high school— metaphorically, of course. I've always feared the day my friends saw me as a waste of their time, and when it happened, I didn't know how to react. I was numb in all places and I felt my souls leave my body. It's been a year— a long difficult year— without my friends. Actually, I shouldn't even call them that anymore. I might as well call them my killers because now I'm just a ghost in the storm. Everyone says that you'll find yourself in high school, that's not true— for me once again — because I'm just a lost soul looking for a home. — Maya P. HartAll Rights Reserved
