Alexis Wilcox had to grow up before she was even born. After her father died on September 11th, 2001, mere weeks before her birth, she's grown up watching the world around her spiral downwards. With a mother more concerned with her feeding her addictions than her four children, the responsibilities fall to Alexis to care for her siblings. 

She's always carried her mother's reputation on her shoulders, something she can't seen to shake in a town as small as Roselake, Kentucky. But when poor, forgotten girls like Alexis begin to go missing, Alexis and her new-found friend Rebecca begin to unravel secrets. Secrets so horrifying that the trailer park life Alexis leads begins to look like a veritable paradise. Secrets too horrifying to be believed. Secrets too big for their tiny town.

Someone is hunting, and girls like Alexis are his favourite prey.

This is my submission for NANOWRIMO 2015. I will update once or twice a week, after I have verified the wordcount over on NANOWRIMO's site. This is a very, very rough first draft, and I am totally open to any and all constructive criticism! Thank you so much for reading my story, I appreciate each and every read.   

I should also note that this story will deal with some very dark content and themes and contain mature language, although I try to keep these aspects implicit rather than explicit. For safety's sake, I would say this book is suitable for those 15 years of age or older.

Alexis Young is a simple and easy going woman. She is fresh out of college and she just opened a small bakery. She was doing great, she is quick to love and her baked goods always brought her costumers back. One late night, she just locked the bakery and headed home when she heard a noise in the back alley. Worried, that someone needs help, she walked into it, only to witness a murder. But it was not just a murder, it was a mafia murder. Young new mafia boss, Luciano Moretti, murdered a man that own him money. Alexis couldn't believe her eyes and it was just her luck, that the big bad mafia man saw her and took her with him. WARNING: This has been written by a much younger self in about a month for Camp Nanowrimo, so it is still full of grammar errors and awkward sentences. I haven't gotten around to actually editing it and i probably never will... so ignore the "reviewed and edited" chapters, because they do not really exist. They all have mistakes, so there is really no need for you to warn me about them. I hope you enjoy the story anyway.

Her friend Andarin is involved in a secret organization called the Erglis that protects the kingdom from people and organizations who would do it harm. Miryanna wants in. Even if those people and organizations are Karayan Batal and the Vanags. A bloodthirsty group and a passionate and powerful man who's goal is to overtake the land of Terinnia and lay it bare to the hostile Empire of Amani's clutches. Miryanna never thought she'd be butting heads with her kingdom's greatest threat, but while Karayan does his utmost to upset the deffences of her and the Erglis, she does everything in her power to keep his hands off the things she loves, finding a formidable antagonist in the process. Can Miryanna find the strength within her to do all she can for her friends and the land of Terinnia? Or will she become another victim in a power play by an overambitious empire? ~~ Fantasy/adventure, a bit of cringe, a lot of not knowing what I'm doing. I've given my commentary and for once, I want to hear other people's take on this too, but for pete's sake, know what you're talking about before you hit "comment". It is completely unedited. This story is not getting the attention it deserves, so I am attempting to "re-brand" it. Maybe no one "gets" it. If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. The three are skaters, good ones, who live for girls and their skateboards. They're also basically good kids who take pride in being different without paying attention to it. When Michael loses his home and his family has to move they have his back. And they are there for him when the ghost girl starts following him around. Mariah was murdered when she was just 15, her remains were never found, although no one but her and her ghost friend, Crazy Girl, know where their bodies are buried. The house Michael now lives in is the one where she lived with her family, and her old room is now his. She appears to him one night, trying to taunt him, but against her will she is falling in love with the boy who lives in her old room.
