(Lowercase intended on cover) "The simple things in life are never meaningful, and the meaningful things in life are never simple. So maybe I don't want meaningful. Maybe I just want someone who cares enough to listen." Gemma Summers and Noah Hanson are strangers. They have little in common, not to mention polar opposite personalities, yet lead extremely similar lives in the sense that they both feel they are missing something. In a small, vintage style coffee shop the two meet, finding solace in their queer, complication free conversations. They don't want to be friends, they don't want to be lovers, they don't want anything more than to talk over two cups of coffee. But keeping up the ideal simplistic relationship proves harder than it seems as unwanted feelings of attachment and connection arise, leaving them both wondering if maybe simplicity isn't what they are searching for, and if they are searching for something that has already been found. Completed-- ABOUT TO UNDERGO SOME EDITING AND REVAMPING especially for chapters 41 to 48 and 53. Bare with me here, as the writing process is torturous (and lovely, of course.) Expect a shitton of updates in the next few months. Warning: Mature language within (it's swearing, they're twenty, no surprise there) These chapters rarely exceed five hundred words, which is why there are so many of them. I hope you enjoy! (Please do not copy my work. I appreciate that you like my idea enough to steal it, but there are better ways to show this appreciation. So please, don't. I've worked hard on this.)

It contains strong sexual scenes and plenty of strong language not intended for younger readers. You have been warned🛑⚠ *-*-*-*-* Timay Hues is a well-known author publishing book after book, landing her at number one on New York's bestsellers list, but when a sequence of unfortunate events occurs, turning her world upside down and changing the trajectory of not only her life but worse, her career. She undergoes something no author ever wants to go through. The dreaded writer's block. Timay knows exactly what led her to where she is today, but her refusal to talk about it is dragging her down. She's lost her inspiration, her muse but she would much rather distract herself with meaningless sex and a slew of hot men, running away from everything that's happened. Noah Grant, an editor for Grant Publishers, gets sent to Ohio by his boss to help a stubborn, hot-headed author with no filter edit and improve her manuscript. Like Timay, a sequence of unfortunate events, turned his world upside down. What exactly? Only a few trusted people know. He keeps it locked close to his ice-cold heart, refusing to trust anyone with his secrets. Similar to Timay, Noah is only interested in one thing and only thing only. Sex and one-night stands. What happens when these two people cross paths? Will Timay Hues find her ultimate distraction and find the inspiration she so desperately needs? Could Noah Grant, the arrogant, confident, and egoistical man, be the solution to all her problems? Will the ice covering both their hearts manage to crack? The possibilities for these two broken souls are endless. Please note this story contains: * Strong Language * Strong & Explicit Sexual Content ⭐Started: 12/03/2021 ⭐Completed: 04/09/2021
