Revolution (Book 3 of POE Chronicles)
(This is book 3 of the P.O.E. Chronicles, Read book 1 Evolution and book 2 Selection if you haven't already) I never wanted a war. All I wanted to do was to get things back to the way they were and to keep those I love safe. But it turns out that everything was just an illusion, that the reality I lived in was all but a lie. That world was no place to live, and in order to make a better future, a future that so many have sacrificed so much to try and archive before me, I had to fight. And to do that I needed to find out the truth, no matter what horrors lie beneath it. The web of lies, of secrecy, of betrayal, is spun so far, so fine, so wide that I had been seeing only a corner of it. I didn't know if I have the strength to go on, but I know that if I don't step up, the world as we have known it will end. If you asked her four years ago what she imagined herself doing in the future, Abigail Beckett could safely tell you that it doesn't involve political meetings, living in an ancient castle and seeking advice from a three hundred years old Original. Having discovered her roots, she had inherited the responsibility to make sure the world doesn't end by the terrorist group Apocalypse and make peace among POE and Legres. With the fate of many of her friends still uncertain, she must race against time to uncover the Apocalypse's plan, pacify the government, and tried not to get killed by her grandmother. Really tho, I barely work on this lmfao ---------------- < ☆ > ---------------- "She was large. Not just large... but huge. Gigantic. Enormous. The most terrifying thing I've seen. Never have I ever felt so scared, so vulnerable, so easy to get killed... ... Everything looked like ants when she appeared... even the tallest buildings I knew of couldn't reach up to her feet. She was so heavy even the ground itself would shake, as if the earth itself was shaking in fear. She was more powerful than everything we've ever seen and known. Even X. Even Two. Even me. I've seen monsters before, and I... guess I'm monster myself, but... she was different. Something from a different planet, a different universe... a monster that changed everything about me. She changed everything about us. Even if she was gone... I would still remember her. Hear her. Feel her. Her. ... Why... ...did this happen to us?"Complete

The Other Twin
"...it just gets to me sometimes with my parents always yakking about how Karyn is so athletic and successful, while I'm constantly being told that art doesn't count as a talent and I'll probably end up on the streets of Paris if I don't give it up." Beth gave me a comforting pat, "At least you'll be in Paris." She joked trying to lighten the mood. We stopped outside the small dent in the hallway where the two double doors to the auditorium were. "See ya then." I waved at Beth as I walked over to the elevator to the lower annex. "Wait, Taryn." "I stopped, "Yeah?" "As cliche as this sounds, just remember that you and Karyn are individually special." I gave her a bland look, "Uh-huh." Beth was a lovely person and all but even she knew that Karyn was the queen in this stupid high school hierarchy and that left me in the place of the joker. Identical twins? Yeah right." *** We laugh and cry. We make time fly. Best friends are we, my sister and me. Sisters are one of the best gifts from God. And identical sisters just takes the cake. But will all that change with the help of her two amazing friends and the unexpected aid of a mysterious new saxophone player? Jam packed with humor, action, family bonding and a possible dash of love. Read on and find out.Complete
