As the 'magic star' Randamus surges its way toward her planet, Malia Prachet turns her steet-savvy eyes to the sky. Though she is determined to lift herself out of the squalor of her fragmented past, darker forces seek to bring the sky down on top of her.
The only thing stopping Ostancine from being crushed by the wizards of the dark isle Tarn is time. Yet while spies do their work in the shadows of the city and floating towers encroach on Ostancine's shores, Malia Prachet's only ambition is for the normal life of a star-gazing scholar. However, her research at the enigmatic Dr. Khalis's observatory reveals to her that she is much more embroiled in the dark wizards' plot than she could have ever imagined.
The Tarn wizards have always been tempered by the waning nature of their magic. With greater distance from the island's 'fount of power' their spells lose their effect, and this phenomenon has been the saving grace of the rest of the world for as long as Malia can remember. That delicate balance is about to change for good though, as the magic star Randamus, which no one understands better than astronomer Malia, surges for the planet, carrying more surprises than either side of the continent's pitched war could have ever bargained for.

He grabbed my arm at the last second and pulled me back, pressing my body tightly against his. "You like living on the edge, don't you?" He asked with a teasing smile, he was so close I could feel his breath on my mouth. "Only when I know you're there to catch me if I fall," I smiled back at him, biting my lip. His hands held me tight by the waist and mine was lost in his hair. In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into one moment. The hint of a promise. He stands in the room watching me even though he said he was getting ready for bed. He is worried about me, about me jumping. I have contemplated it I will admit, but he would stop me before I fell even two feet. I was stuck, and no one could save me. Not even myself, my fucking weak self. His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. The Realm is now known as Alanari over 10,000 years after the stone worriers, and the dragons rising to power, of the order of the flaming dragon where just stories to tell the youngsters to frighten them into behaving. the year is 24/09/101725cycle's since the gods first spoke to humans. And the order was wiped out reveling the land below the ice. It's been 1200 years since, then there was been a Power struggle between the undead factions and the mountain men of the south. a secret tribal United Front called the Tribe of the Un-ith-Ka the first attempt at uniting all tribes on the plain under one banner. attempts on the life of the king and his offspring has increased since the Mountain Men and the Undead army spread their Rule over all of Un-ith-Ka they are ransacking and pillaging all across the land. nobody knows where the plains of manna stream from. but over the last 100,000 years there has been some development in understanding magic, and they have incorporated it into everything, but only those with the sensitivity to Magic and the intelligence of logical more scientific way. they are called the Sci_magi they believe in a ordered Universe where the wielders of magic contribute to the entire civilization. science and magic mixed together as one. as the line between this plain Un-ith-Ka and the plains of Magic have grown thin and beings known as Demons have flooded through at some places where the veil between worlds has thinned out. the first demon's where powerful.

The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance.
