Former Junior Hall Monitor, minimum-wage waitress and passionate Mexican folk dancer, Penny Sanchez knows how it feels to get the short end of the stick. With a best friend who's too busy swapping gum with her on-and-off-again boyfriend, a sister with a serious ego, and a mother who refuses to listen to anyone except a paying customer, the only person Penny can trust is her 80-year-old adrenaline-junkie Nana.
