Kellin and Oliver have been dating for nearly a year now and it hasn't exactly been all sunshine and rainbows.

Oliver is guilt ridden over something he did in his past, something he hides from Kellin, which in turn causes him to let out his self-hatred onto his boyfriend.

Kellin also hides something from Oliver. Something that has caused him to go into weekly therapy sessions, all the while struggling to keep his relationship afloat in spite of all of the abuse he receives.

One day Kellin gathers enough courage to leave Oli and attempts to move on with his life with the help of Vic, his counselor. What happens though when the secret they've both been hiding, a secret that- unbeknownst to them- links them together, is brought out into the light?

Kellin is a seventeen year old, whimsical, quirky, loving and openly gay, also he's a victim of bullying. It's effecting his self image only he's trying hard to not let it show. Only his bully is the infamous Vic Fuentes; who happens to be the captain of the soccer team. With his beautiful girlfriend who's the head cheerleader. However, he's also trying to hide his true self behind a facade that he's built up. So with the school staff being tired of Vic constantly in trouble and with the threat of being kicked off the soccer team they force him to improve his attitude and grades by pairing him with the one kid he tried so hard to make miserable.
