In an Alternate Reality where God never left heaven, and Lucifer walks free among men, and Castiel is merely a messenger, Earth is left devastated.

With the Devil roaming on the surface of the Earth, violence and hate and destruction was the only thing Earth knew. Hope was gone, and the light was so far away no man could ever dream of reaching it. Fed up with the condition His beautiful creation was facing, God mandated a purge. Similar to the Great Deluge, it was meant to purify mankind; to destroy Earth and build it anew.

However, Castiel, horrified from the amount of death that would emerge from this, prayed incessantly to God, begging him to stop it, not expecting an answer. But God answers, and with a deal. If Castiel finds at least one righteous man, untouched by the corruption of Earth, within forty days, God won't destroy them all, only the unfaithful. One catch: under no circumstances was Castiel to contact him at all.

Hopeless, Castiel scoured the entirety of the world, searching for a righteous man, and with no luck. With only seven days left, he gives up. Yet, amongst all the despair, a beacon of light and hope comes in the form of two brothers: the Winchesters. Captivated by the all-suffering love and sacrifice they have, Castiel finds himself drawn to them, especially the strong, belligerent, fiercely-loving Dean.

But in a world where Murphy’s Law is the only law, Castiel will have to do everything and anything he can to keep the Winchesters from being led astray.

Home life for Castiel is no better than school life, he is constantly berated for being gay and is only allowed to stay with the family because Anna won't let Michael ditch Castiel and Michael doesn't want to get on gods bad side. Dean Winchester (19) lives with a drunk father and looks our for his younger brother, Sam (16). He has looked out for Sam his whole life, always there to make sure that Sammy is never left alone to get hurt by their fathers drunk anger. All throughout Deans childhood he has looked at girls, has wanted them, yet he sometimes gets these feelings for boys as well. But his father tells him it's wrong, beats him if he even talks about it or does anything with another boy. Dean doesn't know what to think, to listen to his father or to listen to his heart. [#143 Dean Winchester] [#169 Castiel] [#149 Sam Winchester] [Book 5 of 14] {Completed} Charity just smiled at his question, "You people misunderstand him. You call him, "Satan" and "devil", but... Do you know his crime? He loved God too much. And for that, God betrayed him-punished him. Just as he's punished you. After all, how could God stand idly by while that man broke into your home and butchered your family in their beds?" Nick dropped his gaze to the bed, not able to meet her gaze. She shifted to her knees, taking his face in her hands gently. "There are only two rational answers, Nick-either he's sadistic, or he simply doesn't care. You're angry. You have every right to be angry. I am angry, too. That's why my friend and I, we want to find him-hold him accountable for his actions. Just because he created us doesn't mean he can toy with us, like playthings." "If I help you... can you bring back my family?" He asked, raw emotion in his voice. Charity smiled sadly at him, rubbing her thumb along his cheek softly. "I'm sorry. We can't. But we can give you the next best thing. God did this to you, Nick. And we can give you justice. Peace." "How do I know you're telling the truth?" He asked. "I wouldn't lie to you. I don't need to. What I need... is you. Nick, I need you to say yes." *** Book 5 is rising along with Lucifer. With Lucifer out of his cage, Karoline, Alayna, and the boys become targets of both heaven and Hell, as they all have a part to play in this upcoming war. They are destined to fight in a battle, the Apocalypse, to determine the earths future- a battle that could wipe out the human race. This new battle pushes the Winchesters and the Van Allen's relationships to the breaking point as they all realize how they truly feel about each other. Will they say yes to their Archangels? What will happen now when they face the truest evil out there? This is book five, and everything seems to be at it's breaking point.

The Miracle Within

written for the 2k18 DeanCasMiniBang Challenge. Immediately set after 13x05. The Winchesters just received the most unexpected of the calls and now their life is on the verge of undergoing another, perhaps just as radical change. After losing his mother and his best friend, Dean found himself in a very dark place, unable to share Sam's stubborn hope that Mary might be alive and refusing to mourn Castiel. He's been stuck between trying to cope with their losses, with the aid of unhealthy amounts of alcohol, and being unable to hold back his anger issues, of which Sam and Jack have become the unlucky main targets. The reunion with the angel, while, on one hand, shines a fresh ray of hope on the boys' path, on the other puts a spotlight on the mistakes made in the previous weeks and brings up issues that have been ignored and avoided for too long. Cas is determined to reconnect with Jack and try to fix the relationship between Dean and the nephilim, together with helping his best friend to heal. This assuming that he can get through the older hunter first. Because getting Dean Winchester to talk about his feelings can turn out to be as hard as stopping the umpteenth apocalypse. Could a possible, spooky-looking case offer the chance to break the impasse?
