The year is 2018 and nearly .1% of the world population has meta abilities - but that doesn’t apply to Torrin Murdoch. A nineteen-year old college student living with her best friends, Tory’s only dream has ever been to run, fast. The only problem? She’s severely asthmatic.

With the shock of the defibrillator, that makes electricity course through her veins, it creates a sort of chemical reaction within her body and in an instant she acquires abilities of immortality. Not only did her heart beat stop that day, but her days as a human were done for. Keeping her abilities a secret, she tries to lay low, but when her family finds themselves battling an extraterrestrial that's been reproducing and feeding on humans for five years now, across the borders of the water. Jenny battles with the thought of exposing her true self or letting innocent people die because of a secret she's not ready to reveal. Wanting to be a superhero and becoming one, are two completely different things. But becoming the opposite? That's way easier. And sometimes it's not on purpose. Fate didn't want me to be a hero. I was a fairly normal girl, growing up in Central City. A city where superheroes and super villains didn't exist... until the particle accelerator exploded. Many people were turned into these metahumans, me being one of them. Likely one of the only changed nine year olds at the time. My parents were both scientists for Star Labs, being two of the many others that died in the blast. Needing to get away, I decided to move to Gotham. A good city to hide in.
