The Last City
It has been 14 years since the zombie apocalypse started and the world descended into chaos. There are few cities that people still live in. Many of these cities have zombies roaming the outer edges and are close to falling and becoming abandoned like the rest. There is only one city in the world that is safe and protected, the Safe Haven. Emmie is a girl who lives on the outskirts of one of these falling cities. When her city falls she is forced to travel to the Safe Haven with three other girls from her city. On her journey, she runs into a group of 13 men also heading to the Safe Haven.

The two weren't home to witness the tragedy of losing both their parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles who were attending their party because they were in their tree house in the woods. They come back for some cake, and as soon as they realized what was happening they grabbed as much as they could of their belongings and booked it deeper into the woods searching for shelter from the zombies.
