Sergeant Dimitri Evans is a soldier. He has a responsibility to protect his people, but when his best friend dies during a mission, Dimitri wants revenge. To avenge his friend and fellow fallen comrades, he launches a plan of attack against the other side. To destroy, destruct and infiltrate their base. With his revenge however, Dimitri has to learn to deal with the consequences. He quickly realizes that revenge isn't as satisfying as he thought, because with revenge comes a price, but not one he has to pay...

This was a short story I had to do for an English assessment. It is a semi prequel to a main story I'm working on called 'The Other Side' which is not finished yet.

Levi and Farlan found her walking down the street one day. She was dirty, her hair was matted with blood and dirt. Two teenage boys were kicking her around like a doll. She didn't move or fight back she just sat there, numb to the pain. Levi took her in and taught her many things. One being love. Voilet evergarden inspired. Complete and rewritten as of 2023. It's the year 2138 and a war is raging upon earth. A shortage of resources has made the government and rich greedy, keeping materials for themselves, leaving everyone, especially the poor, to suffer. Due to such despicable behavior, a group has risen out of anger and hatred for the government, going into fights and heists to reclaim the resources and share it with the public. In response to these acts, the higher-ups have created their own group called "Defenders" and out of spite this rebellious group in turn named themselves "Oppressors". Nexus was one of them, filled with rage and anger. He fought with honor and the will to help the less fortunate. But over the years he noticed that their own goal was beginning to shift, them getting greedy and murdering people just because while the latest group of defenders seemed pretty peaceful, wanting to reunite everyone again and rebuild society. Nexus wanted to help the defenders but before he could, he got killed... Deceit is unpopular in highschool, as others find him ugly with his snake-like burn, he is depressed and self harms, he has a crush on one of the most popular kids, Logan, they meet in a class and try to become friends, but Logan's friends, Patton, Roman, Virgil, try to push them further apart.
