People perish. In the immediate aftermath of a death, it is despair and desolation that usually haunt others. But there are exceptions; exceptions that offer no explanation or reason. One such incident took place in my life. Seven years have passed since. But I will carry its recollection to my grave, for it has infected me with perplexity. And I know there is no cure.
