"The story is about Yaksha and a girl.

Yaksha, also known as Forest Guardian or God is said to rule over their green hills as Mt. Kan-chan-dzonga crowned those green and lush forests.

Pema returns to her village, she didn't know what awaited her in those dark woods. Mysteries, dark past and an arrogant boy."

// I have added local legends of Sikkim and old folklores in this story. This was my first project\\

Lucy Caldwell suffered a disaster in her childhood - her house was burnt, which turned fatal for her parents. She grew up in a children's house together with other orphans. She could never forget the fire incident and was sure her parents were murdered, so she always wished to investigate the case when she grew old enough. Lucy, like all the other children, frequents the Spirit School, where children are taught to control their inner spiritual energy. When they reach 15 years of age, they befriend spirits that reside in the vast Spirit Forest in East Land and receive the Bond Item - an object from them which permits them to summon their friends whenever they're in need. Each person is able to form a bond with a single spirit. However, there are certain spirits that never approach humans, are known as man-eaters and have marked severe borders on their territory, eating anyone who trespasses on them. Such is the clan of the tailed foxes - the Huli. Lucy has already reached 15 years, so she goes together with her classmates to the Spirit Forest to befriend a spirit and bond with them. However, while sitting around a bonfire and listening to her classmates' scary stories, she remembers the dreadful day of how her house caught fire in past and, worked up, she rushes off into the depths of the forest to cry off her anguish. But as elders often say, dense forests are definitely not a place for little children to run around, for the danger lies in every corner, as Lucy soon comes to realise... -- The ebook version of "The Guardian Spirit" is available on amazon.com. for $0.99 on the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FSRWVMZ -- The Paperback version is available on amazon.com. on the link: https://www.amazon.com/Guardian-Spirit-Guardians-Nine-Heavens/dp/1717875971/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

Prologue " WELCOME Princess of Panikkar, I'm your new master and I hope you had a great journey." Hearing this the young princess remained silent but looked straight into his eyes with regal authority, this unbreakable courage, aura and stature of hers made his blood boil and he spoke fuming from rage, " You must learn to bow and please your master from today otherwise you and your great kingdom will face the consequences. So I order you to kneel before me. NOW!." Standing under his roof at his mercy the princess had the guts to look down on him in front of his men, not bulging from her place. He lost his last straw of patience and drew out his sword. "ENOUGH YOU'RE NOTHING BUT AN INSECT UNDER MY BOOTS I CAN CRUSH YOU AT ANY MOMENT. YOU BREATHE UNDER THIS ROOF AT MY MERCY DON'T TAKE MY PATIENCE FOR GRANTED." He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before saying "So be a good girl obey orders and KNEEL BEFORE ME!!" But the princess stood her ground, her principles against bowing to the enemy, it's either to kill or die with honour. This action made him want to break her courage and pride into pieces. He promised that one day this princess would bend the knee and much more before him. ************************************************************************* A ruthless, British officer who is famously known as the 'Battle Lord' is posted to India to lead the war held against the Rajput Kings and bring them under the British government rule. "Finally," he slumped on the wooden bench in contentment, "a break from everything." His eyes darted towards the ethereal lake in front. A carefree smile bloomed on his face in reflex. Trials and storms continuously invaded their world but their hideout still stayed the same. Their haven didn't change, just like their love. A warm squeeze around his torso made him glance down. "Shh," she reprimanded softly, cuddling further into him, "don't jinx it. I want to stay like this for longer." As if on cue, the clouds around the lake darkened followed by rounds of thunder. "And there it goes," they whined. "Angry Chorni can't you ask your Khana Ji to control this for a while?" "Why don't you ask your partner instead, Ajeeb Rajvansh?" she counterattacked. The duo glared at the other before slumping into each other's arms. "Let it be," she muttered after a while, "it can wait for a little." "Hmm," he nodded, tightening his hold on her, "it can always wait." They soaked in the peace and comfort of each other's embrace, unbothered by the storm urging around them because they knew it could never each them. Because a hurricane does not affect its eye. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is a fanfiction on yeh rishtey hain pyaar ke.
