This is a novel I started writing well over a decade ago. For one ridiculous reason or another I have ended up leaving it for lengthy periods only to come back to it and not recognize certain characters.  Writing is subjective, and my life's experiences, even in the last decade, have changed my outlook and in effect changed how I feel my characters should be acting and reacting. 

Lost to Blood is a twist on the vampire mythos that begins during the Holy Crusades and continues to the present day.

In recent years, the vampire has become synonymous with eroticism and seduction; he has become, "Gentleman Death in silk and lace, come to put out the candles." (Rice). The vampiric myth, however, dates at least as far back as Mesopotamia, with our modern interpretation of the vampire emerging in the Balkans during the 18th century. With each new iteration of the vampire mythos, the tale has become a mirror of the era in which it was written; each version of the vampire tells us something about ourselves previously unknown. And each iteration adds more complexity to a myth that has sunk its teeth into at least as many countries as people. Like the vampire, we are both devoted to and repelled by faith. We seek to understand the nature of morality and the complexities of sin; we see ourselves in the dark plight of the vampire- in his loneliness. Mankind, like the vampire, is full of outcasts; creatures longing for understanding in a mysterious world. The vampire and mankind are two sides of the same coin. Who is to say which is more real? After all, "the world seems full of good men, even if there are monsters in it." (Stoker).

He coos, his breath fanning my neck, causing me to shiver In disgust. If only my brothers were here... "Wheres a delicacy like you been hiding this whole time?" His use of words has me on edge. His implementations imply that he's some sort of cannibal and judging from what he did to that other man I fear I may be right. I refuse to answer him, spitting in his face. My face bounces of the wall, the sting of his slap left behind on my cheek. I shake the pain away, placing a facade up to hide the fear within. You fucking bastard! I narrow my eyes at him, taking note of his features in case I miraculously survive this encounter. His hair is a dark auburn and his eyes that watch me with amusement are a dark blue. His attire was a black suit which seemed out of place considering he was standing in an alleyway. If I manage to escape I want to be confident that'd I'd be able to have this bastard put behind bars. Again if... His eyes shift, my eyes widening as his eyes turn from a dark blue to a pool of black, red veins trailing along from his pupil to the edge of his eyes. His voice is dark as he commands, "Show me that pretty little neck of yours." ೋღ🌹ღೋ ⚠️ Warning!!! This book is extremely dark and has depictions of Mature language, violence, sexual activity, sexual and physical abuse, including rape. Rape is a serious crime often overlooked where the victim is made to believe it is their fault. I do not condone rape however, it's a reality. Please only read if your 18+ and with caution. This book will be updated weekly. Possibly sometime more or less depending on how busy I am.

But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I was given life that day, until it all ended months later; the day I took my last breath.

Before I started publishing my story on Wattpad I've had several people read it and they've told me it was good and they enjoyed reading it and I hope you all enjoy it as well. I've always been told I have a very active and creative imagination and I should use that i it a like and follow for more chapters to come. Please feel free to point out any grammatical errors you find that I may have missed as I'm constantly editing the story to make it better. *If any names in my story are that of real world people it's completely coincidental, I use a random name generator, which creates countless names, to help with the naming of some of my characters.

This Book is still in early access, so the exact Genre of the book is yet to be revealed. Read it and decide for yourself. Language slurs, violence, sex scenes are used throughout the book, it's beginner friendly as well...although I do advise, a sensitive reader should not read this. The fictional universe is set in medieval times between about 900-1300AD, but with a bit of a twist. The fiction will be set on a continent named Dark'ar. With four sets of land split up called The Northern Kingdom, which has Norsemen-like inhabitants, The Western Kingdom, which has Saxon-like inhabitants, The Eastern Empire, which has Arabian-like inhabitants, The Southern Wastelands, which has all kinds of different inhabitants, then finally, Riverpass Forest, which is situated in the middle of Dark'ar, which has tribal/native inhabitants. Everything is set as it was in 900-1300AD, except this fiction includes Bloodthirsty monsters, monster hunters, forms of slight magic, majestic plants and characters throughout the book. Note: The first instalment is set from a 1st person view. Which means that specific character is the one explaining the story, which also means his/her thoughts will be the ones accounted for. How the book is written. Examples: Inner monologue/thoughts: "Today is going to be lovely." Conversation between characters: Hafdan: Where is the trial? Isabel: It's vanished. The rest only requires basic reading skills. Enjoy!

The second is she will win and be forcibly wed to a cruel man and live the rest of her life knowing she is alive because her sisters are dead. Illyana wants more. She wants to rule the Kingdom of Vivelle with her sisters by her side. She only has a few days left to come up with a plan before the Trial begins. With the whole kingdom watching eagerly to see which daughter wins, it is going to be almost impossible for Illyana to change the minds of a nation so that she can sit on the throne. Warning! Rated Mature as there will be violence, gore and themes of a sexual nature. Lots of parts, but not long chapters. :)
