Monsters called grim run rapid along the earth and man kind was born into this unforgiving world. Drivin to hear extinction man kind found a material to help fight back against these monsters. It was named: Dust. Dust comes in different elements fire ice lighting etc and can be purified into crystals. Also unlike grim hunters and huntress( people who fight grim) have an aura. Aura is like a soul. It can heal minor wounds and block attacks. As an added bonus hunter and huntress have a semblance. Semblance is basicly a unique power they have kinda like a mutant in X-man. And lastly and most importantly every weapon is also a gun. Yes every weapon. Even Nunchucks are gunchucks.

Remnant is made up of the 4 kingdoms, Vale, Mistral, Atlas and Vacuo, the hunter training academies, Beacon, Haven, Mantle and Shade, a continent where the Faunus originated called Menagerie, various villages in the country and the dark areas where the Grimm are said to appear from. Humans and Faunus all have a force apart of their soul they unlock known as Aura, which protects them like a shield but can discharge depending on the strength used in battle. They also use superpower-like abilities known as Semblance as well as powerful handmade weapons in all shapes and sizes. It's impossible for people to have the exact same Semblance, unless it runs in the family. The story revolves around a team of 4 huntresses in training. Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiou Long. Alongside their friends, they train to fight and learn how to protect Remnant, and soon learn of its history and a millennia long conflict between Ozpin, Beacon's headmaster, and Salem, a humanoid Grimm queen residing in the dark.
