Korál Lleana is just a normal, 25-year old Puerto Rican girl. She is on the path to greatness, she was an intern at the University of Utah hospital. One of the best medical programs in the country, she had recently become an attending in Neuro Surgery and she was heading to be the best in the nation. 

But a phone call that would change her life forever. 

Her mother had passed away. Being in a tough situation, Korál moves back home to New York to help with her mournful father and her younger twin brothers. She now lives with her family and her grandmother who came from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to help out. 

Korál tries her best to adjust to career path of life and juggle the responsibilities her mother had.

On this journey of tragedy and struggle, Korál meets a young man named Levi Parker. 

Will Korál let Levi enter her life? Will he accept her busy life surrounded of family? Will she ever graduate college? Will her father ever get back on the wagon?
