Seven year old Maddie Keller is doing a school project. She must interview a member of her family about a historic event ten years ago. She decides to interview her grandma Kate when Maddie's mom, Sarah tells her she would be a great person to get information from. Once the questions get more personal, the story turns into a touching and emotional flashback of the event ten years ago told from Kate's point of view.  I wrote this story in honor of the brave men and women who risked their own lives on that terrible day back in September 2001. This story just goes to show you that many families were effected immensely.Tous Droits Réservés

I love the beginnings of stories. Whether it be a book or a movie, I enjoy the opening scenes the most. Because they hold all the promises of what is to come; unburdened by commitment or baggage. Beginnings are full of hope. This story is an exception. Because the beginning of it is a sad one. It's the ending, however, that makes this story worthwhile. It's been several years since these events occurred and I have spent the majority of that time contemplating how best to share this story. Why? Because stories are important and everyone has one. In which two ex-step-siblings reconnect after just about blowing up their family the first time around... Three years ago, Maddie fell hard for Jacob Isaacs, the smartest boy in her school. The only problem was this: Her dad had quite literally gotten engaged to his mother. The two tried to dampen the flames of their burgeoning attraction for each other but not before they got caught and were the talk of the town for months. After the fall out, Maddie moved away to try and start her life over and not be known as the girl who got caught doing it with her 'brother' at prom. She hasn't seen her family in ages and intends to keep things that way. Jacob, on the other hand, has worked hard to accomplish everything he's ever dreamed of. He's stayed close to home, done exceptionally well at school, and is adored by just about everyone who meets him. There's only one problem: There's a Maddie-shaped hole where his heart used to be. But no matter how hard he tries to reach out and find her, he can't. She won't let him. He let her down and gave up on them when she needed him most. And she's not ready to forgive and forget. But then Maddie's dad passes and she's forced to come home for his funeral. It should be a quick visit. She intends to make it one. But Jacob has other plans. He let his girl slip through his fingers once and he won't let that happen again. So now he has to convince her to give him one more chance. After all, they're not related to each other anymore.

Kate has finally reached her senior year, the last year of high school life. She was looking forward to it because this is the year where everything will be put up as a good and last memory of high school. Until, her mother decided to go out of the city and moved her into a different school that she didn't even agreed on. Her life starts to turn into nothing but a mess. She was completely invisible on the current school that she was enrolled in. She feels as if her last year of high school life is not worth remembering. Not that she was expecting, she accidentally met the campus' playboy of their school. She doesn't want to get involved of any of him but the playboy insisted that he wants to be her friend? What will her high school life turned out to be? It all started in just one tiny accident. An accident that me and him, fell in love.

Due to sad circumstances Elisabeth is forced to move into her estranged father's house and to her surprise she learns that she has three older brothers. This is not all. Turns out her family is rich. Her father is a badass prosecutor, her oldest brother is a diplomat and the twins are successful athletes. In other words, Elisabeth's family is perfect while she is a mess. In her new house she feels out of place and lonely. She doesn't fit in. Her perfect father and perfect brothers are too busy to make time for her at the beginning. But things are about to change.

Little Angela was only 11 years old being abused and raped by the man who was supposed to protect her. She wanted the abuse to stop, she wanted to be treated like a princess as all the other little girls were. Her mother Mary was a very busy women, working the hours of 10:30am -6:30 pm and maybe even later if it was an emergency. She worked these hours at a hospital named North Way Valley about 45 minutes away from home. Being that she trusted William because they have been married for years and was the father of her little princess for 11 years she never would have thought that he would be raping and abusing" their" little princess. Now little Amanda is being threatened that if she tells her mother of what he is doing he will kill her and her mother. Now she doesn't want her or her mother to die but she don't know how long she can take the abusing. So she tried and tried to give her mother signs of what was happening. She meets a little boy named August and they become friends.

How had we not seen it. We'd been with her the day it happened how had we been so distracted we hadn't seen it? I wasn't sure I'd be able to forgive myself for that. Da stood up and handed Libby to me. "Keep an eye on her I need to check Samantha's diaper I think she's getting a little ripe." I laughed and looked down at my little sister. Nothing like that would ever happen to her I didn't car what I had to do. Olivia was the last sister I failed. I rocked Libby in my arms and wondered who'd be next, would it be me or Josie or even Olivia? Addy and Nelly were too young even if they did meet someone, they wouldn't be allowed to finish their mating. When da came back from changing Samantha's diaper he switched girls so that Libby could get her own diaper checked. Samantha, such a cutie had already lost her mother and father to a bunch of hate mongering humans. I knew that they still existed, but I didn't realize they still killed our kind. She'd be loved and included among us easily.
