In a tragic turn of events, Guardians Rose and Dimitri Belikov are murdered along with their assigned Moroi and friends Queen Lissa Dragomir and Lord Christian Ozera. This just leaves their children.
Still grieving at the loss of her parents, Guardian Alyssa Belikov has to carry on the legacy created by her parents. However its not so easy. Strigoi are constantly lurking in the dark and an impromptu trip to Spokane proofs that much and along with her two Moroi chargers, Rose Dragomir and Andre Dragomir- daughter and son of the late royals. Alyssa must contend with this darkness and avenge the death of her parents.
