Once upon a time in a far away land, there was a cruel and uncaring lord. There was a good witch who wanted to teach him a lesson. There was a curse and there was a beast. 650 years later, an innocent California girl found herself imprisoned by said beast. The witch had a sister who may or may not be evil and may or may not be relevant to the story. A warlock was also involved, but no one really knows where he comes in either. There was plenty of trust and betrayal, fear and courage, unlikely friendships and maybe even love.

From her old and ugly appearance, Sean turned the woman away. The woman warned Sean not be deceived by haggard appearances...for beauty is found within. When he dismissed the woman again, the woman's appearance changed only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. Sean begged for forgiveness but it was to late, for the enchantress has only seen selfishness in Sean's heart. As punishment, she turned him into a hideous demon and placed a spell on the castle and all who lived there. As days lead into years, Sean and his servants were forgotten by the world for the enchantress erased all memory of them. And the rose the enchantress gave Sean was truly a enchanted rose. If he could learn to love another, (a male or female), and earn their love in return before the last petal falls, the curse will be broken. If not, Sean will remain a demon, for all time.
