I bet anyone reading this wants to know who I am. My name is Matt. Just Matt. My friends are Sarah, Zach and Aaron.  As some of you probably noticed, I didn't say last names. It's not that I'm hiding our last names from you, it's that we don't have last names here. It goes against the government. The government... Let's just say it sucks. They restrict us from any sort of freedom. If you break a law or go behind them you disappear just like that, and you're never seen again. I don't have any time to explain any more right now. You'll just have to keep reading and try to understand.

This is a short story that I wrote for my school's short story competition. It didn't win, but my librarian it getting it published with a bunch of others. If enough people ask for it then this might become an actual book.All Rights Reserved
