She cut. She always cut. I knew, from the day she started at twelve years until the day she stopped at fifteen. She told me she never wanted to stop, the pain was so unbearable it felt good, satisfying even. I didn't try and stop her, I knew it wouldn't work. So when she told me she was going to cut again tonight, it was of nothing new to me. But I didn't expect her to die.
