The last road
The end comes for us all. Everyone has hopes ideas and faith about the next step after the lights go out. What happens then when you wake up in your city face down on the ground a deep feeling of deja vu accompanied by an even deeper feeling of dread that you don't belong here. The lights of a gas station you vaguely recognize beckoning you closer drivin by humans base instinct, hunger. The demon inside though distracted WILL threaten your life. "I bandaged everything the best I could. It will need stitches. However, I'm afraid that it is broken. Same as your leg. Broken and needs stitches. How's your head feeling? I haven't been able to get that sucker to stop bleeding." His voice sliced through the air. I stare at him, confused, looking around, wanting to be anywhere but here. He clears his throat once again. "Mate, did you hear me?" "How is your head feeling?" I close my eyes. What the fuck? What the fuck? I was angry, annoyed, and frightened. What, mate? What cruel world would make me mate with a wolf? No, no, no... My arm and leg were throbbing intensely. My head was screaming. I brought my fingers up to my head to try and rub the pain away. I needed to leave. Now. I told myself. My mind is still groggy, unable to swiftly move my body like I need to. I didn't even notice I was crying until his voice rang through my ears once again. His footsteps quickly, walking across the hardwood floor. The first book in the series Not very good lol 😆 Completed, still needs editing though let me know what you think!Complete
