Anne Hamlet is a suicidal teenager who attempted suicide by jumping off a tall rooftop. She ends up living and having to stay in the hospital for awhile and all she wants to do is leave and try again at suicide. Her mother has no idea that her daughter is really that suicidal. She believes that this is all just what teenagers do. But it isn't. Anne hates Frank, her mother's new husband after Anne's father died.
