Yabbies - a novel
"Yabbies. Funny little things, all in their own world at the bottom of the dam. A bit like us, ain't they? Can't see a thing for all the mud in the water; bits and pieces drift down, in any old order, all out of sequence, an' we have to make sense of them as best we can." This unusual novel explores ideas about sustainability from a different angle: that we can't achieve a sustainable world without a system of law that supports it. For that to happen, we would need a revolutionary change in the way we see our world: a refocus of passion from possession to purpose. In the blink of an eye, things change. An ominous message is sent out to all of those below the age of sixteen, providing precise instructions that suggest they flee. Simultaneously, a deadly virus starts to spread all about the world, attacking only the Altered -- every human over the age of sixteen. The virus eats at the modified human brain, and soon the Unaltered begin to realise that the Altered are losing their minds. Home is no longer safe. Friends and family turn on one another, losing control of their own minds and bodies. The Unaltered aren't safe. Even if the virus isn't attacking them, the ones with the virus are. The Perfect Human
This book is is written in the far future were war is raging throughout the world permanently halting all innovations. Humanity wanting to finally bring it all to an end only finds one way to solve it. End humanity as we know it. Governments across the globe found that humanity wasn't what it was before and had become dark and terrible to live in, so to fix that they made a small utopia pulling in families, scientists, and important government officials to create the perfect pair of humans. Those two humans would be trained to kill what humanity has become and start it all over, so the world would be a better place. But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity. This is my first book, so it may have a few mess ups but I hope you enjoy, I have worked hard to at least get this out. The zombie apocalypse, something that nobody actually expected to come into the real world. But, here it is. Thirteen is just trying to make it to tomorrow, but after finally dodging it for two years he gets bit by a zombie... Only thing, he is still alive and kicking the dead. The only difference now, is they aren't attracted to him anymore, and wounds seem to heal faster than they should. He's confused, and scared to find out what would happen if anyone found out. Especially with hearing all of the talk about 'The Murphy' That was until he finally met him, and his group. And while Murphy was rude and someone he never wished to be around again, one of the members of the group caught his eye.
